Village life (II)

Picking up tomatoes from the tomato plant
Tomatoes of all sizes, shapes and colors
This is how tomatoes should smell
How many lovely gazpachos, salmorejos, and salads can we prepare with this?
From the tomato plant to the plate
mmm... food tastes much better when cooked naturally in the fire

Village life

Holidays are over now, but we still have the memories of our life at the village, in Almeria.

Shaving cream, what a great fun!

I have stock a few inexpensive shaving creams at home as I have discovered it's so much fun to play with! Lovely site Artfulparent.com proposes "67 ideas for Art, Play and Learning". Our children have already tried a few, but still plenty left.

How to hide a lyon

At Petitonet we seem to have a special weakness for books about Lions - see our favorites below. Our latest precious discovery is How to hide a lion, by Helen Stephen. It's such a cute, sweet, funny story... We love when Iris is helping the lion to hide behind the shower curtain while she is brushing her teeth with her mum!

Royal Avarcas

Spain´s entire Royal Family love wearing traditional sandals from Menorca. They are all fans of the classic version of the avarcas.

Avarcas and socks, why not?

Yesterday, Sofia decided that avarcas and openwork socks were a good match... And, sure enough, I had to agree she looked cute and comfortable. Why should I know better? She is already almost 2.5 years old;)

Tidy tights

I'm always looking for the best way to organise my daughter's large collection of tights and I found this creative idea via Kireei

Glamping 2011!

Last year we went "glamping" to Swallowtail Hill Farm, in Rye, and it was a fabulous experience. We have repeated again this year and, despite the wet wet wet weather, we have enjoyed it as much as the first time. Hopefully we will go back next year. As soon as I have downloaded this year's pictures, we will post them here, meanwhile, have a look at last year's.
